I believe flat roofs are becoming increasingly ‘fashionable’ within the building sector as we’ve seen a steady trend in renovators and self-builders specifying a flat roof in their home projects, inspired by famous buildings and TV programmes such as ‘Grand Designs’, ‘DIY SOS’ and ‘George Clarke’s Amazing Spaces’. It would seem that we are going ‘Back to Flat’.
So far, 2015 has been a busy year for Roof Assured by Sarnafil. We’ve celebrated our 20 anniversary, we’ve seen Tony Poole, our Business Development Executive, hit record sales for his area and we’ve exhibited at the Homebuilding and Renovating Show in Birmingham and Glasgow. I, for one, have thoroughly enjoyed working on the marketing side of this brand and seeing its successes.
Roof Assured by Sarnafil, the domestic division of the global Sika Sarnafil brand, has reported growth since its inception in 1993 and is steadily continuing to flourish its sales into 2015 with no sign of slowing down.
The past couple of years’ has seen more homeowners deciding to stay in their homes and spend their money on renovating rather than moving which has been great for Roof Assured. We have seen a rise in the number of flat roof extensions, conservatories, orangeries, loft conversions and improvements to porches, garages and even dormers.
The Sarnafil membrane has been used on high profile projects such as St Pancras Station and Arsenal FC’s Emirates Stadium which gives added reassurance to consumers who want a roofing solution for their home. Additional reassurance comes from the fact that the membrane is only installed by Roof Assured Trained Registered Installers.
I am currently busy preparing for more Homebuilding and Renovating Shows for Roof Assured. We will be exhibiting at the Homebuilding and Renovating Show in London 25-27th September and then again in Harrogate – 6th-8th November, be sure to drop by and take a look at our stand.
